You would need to possess good knowledge of the banking industry, ideally at a corporate level. The ability to research, prepare and submit credit proposals for credit organization. As well as being able to contribute to the marketing strategy, whilst maintaining strong relationships with clients and to manage all post-lending requirements by the clients and the Bank.

Detail of key responsibilities below:

  • Promote and cross-sell to existing and potential clients, including all the products and services on offer by the Bank
  • Advise the clients on financial decisions appropriate to their financial situation
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for the Bank
  • Be up to date with economic and industry trends
  • Establishing new borrowing relationships and preparing the required credit and financial analyses as per the Bank policies and procedures
  • Analyze financial statements and prepare credit applications
  • Preparing term sheets, structuring credit facilities, drafting credit proposals and submitting to the Credit and Risk Management Department as per the Credit Policy, Credit Procedure and Credit Operating Manuals
  • Increase and manage the existing lending portfolio
  • Build strong relationship with existing clients for credit monitoring, in order to minimize credit risk
  • Understanding and control of the financial analysis of financial statements, documentation, periodical monitoring reports and annual review reports
  • Identifying potential defaults, investigating causes of concern, and recommending appropriate remedial action to the Head of Department (Corporate Banking)

Ideally, you would have a Bachelor degree as well as strong research and analytical skills and the ability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
