Randstad is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join the client’s Lean Six Sigma Team to assist with the successful implementation of the electronic Visual Management Cell (eVMC) along with Microsoft SharePoint Management and Project Data Analysis within the agency.

Randstad is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join the client’s Lean Six Sigma Team to assist with the successful implementation of the electronic Visual Management Cell (eVMC) along with Microsoft SharePoint Management and Project Data Analysis within the agency.

This will include converting the current static Visual Management Cell (VMC) boards into electronic boards, creating and maintaining the SharePoint file structure and analysing data for a range of projects. The tasks required for the eVMC implementation include evaluating data provided by the business and representing this data within templates which are created to meet business guidelines. You will be required to interface with the Lean Six Sigma Project Manager to ensure timely delivery.

This role provides a key function within the implementation phase of eVMC project which supports business performance initiatives within the agency and will drive further development of the VMC and enhanced capabilities to enable an effective adoption of new processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel including writing formulae, VBA Coding and Macro Generation with experience in Business Intelligence Dashboards ideal
  • Ability to think lean and automate data processes to reduce administrative work
  • Ability to problem solve and rectify issues affecting user experience – i.e. Microsoft Excel formula errors
  • Ability to translate data from various sources into the desired format required for the electronic Visual Management Cell templates
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 preferred
  • Report to the Manager Lean Six Sigma Project Manager on the implementation schedule of the eVMC and the issues
  • Provide a weekly update of current project status tracked against planned and agreed targets and measures.
  • Review and advise on performance, develop mitigation plans for addressing divergence from plan in consultation with the Project Manager Lean Six Sigma.
  • Must liaise with key stakeholders to identify requirements, gather appropriate and accurate data, check data integrity, produce required outputs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Assist in any further development of the business processes at all levels and design new business processes with the Project Manager Lean Six Sigma accordingly.
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement plans that support the measurement of the model.
  • Support the development and delivery of the schedule by always supporting organisation development, highlighting gaps and driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide business analysis support to meet Lean Six Sigma project outcomes including preparation of documentation, project planning, business case development, development of materials for communications, project progress reporting, scheduling project meetings, preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes in collaboration with Project Manager Lean Six Sigma.

To succeed in this role you have:

  • Demonstrated experience with development of advanced Microsoft Excel documents (including VBA coding) and preferably experience with the administration of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or experience in the analysis & reporting & translation of measurement data.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple data sources and the ability to collect, analyse and present findings to the team
  • Demonstrated experience in communicating and presenting information with multiple stakeholders at all organisational levels and strong organisational and time management ability to plan, prioritise and complete work competing priorities within allocated timeframes
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Visio, and demonstrated ability to prepare presentations and documents
