They have both shown long term, organic growth in recent years, and are now expanding by seeking Business Development Managers for their extensive client bases across Melbourne.

As a confident, experienced and knowledgeable BDM you will be required to have your own network of referrers and introducers to fully utilise and maximise to their full potential. In addition to this, you will not shy away from using your business acumen to add value to existing business by "landing and expanding" as well as finding new clients.

Key role responsibilities

  • Drive growth and profitability of the mortgage division
  • Increase revenue via business development of your existing and new contacts, referrals and sources
  • Identify new opportunities and potential business by networking your local branch community
  • Undertake high quality, well structured consultations with your clients, understand their needs, and where possible cross-sell the other products and services when it is in their best interests
  • Protect the integrity of the bank and all of its staff, but ensuring you adhere to the strict risk and compliance protocols that are put in place to ensure you act in the best interests of all parties involved

The successful candidates will demonstrate

  • Efficient and effective communication skills
  • A passion for people and the lending market
  • An enthusiastic energy and drive for commercial acumen
  • Previous experience of business development in retail, third party or commercial lending
  • Good connections within multiple professional, personal or community networks
