Our client, an innovative and ambitious Disability Not for Profit Organisation, requires exceptional Business Support Officers for two of their sites, one based in the South-Eastern suburbs and the other based in the outer Northern suburbs. This position will start around mid-December and will continue through to the end of June 2020.

The Business Support Officer will be the first point of contact for clients, providing high quality professional, friendly and respectful management of telephone and email enquiries, and appointment scheduling. Under general guidance, you will be responsible for a broad range of duties ranging from general administrative assistance to their Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Team to supporting the day to day activities within the office

Key Responsibilities

The Business Support Officer is accountable for:

  • Providing high quality administrative support services as directed, to contribute to the efficiency of ECEI services, including reception duties, client interface, and administrative support to the regional teams and external stakeholders as required.

  • Maintaining accurate records and data and managing actuarial reporting ensuring compliance with records management policies and procedures.

  • Supporting as directed, including but not limited to; assisting with research and report writing, minute taking, coordination of appointments and office facilities, procurement and purchasing activities and providing information to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Undertaking a range of accurate and confidential data entry responsibilities relating to ECEI clients.

  • Receiving and recording compliments and complaints and other feedback as per compliments and complaints guidelines.

  • Contributing to the implementation of enhanced records management systems and procedure

  • Modelling a stellar customer service approach in all interactions with staff, clients and external stakeholders.

  • Any other responsibilities in line with the position as assigned by the Supervisor and/or our client.

  • Proven ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner whilst also maintain high work standards and accuracy.

  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for NDIS Partners and the Scheme.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with the ability to blend and analyse information and make decisions.

  • Ability to promote and facilitate innovation.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in partnership with people with a disability, their families/carers, and support networks to deliver a range of services.

  • Excellent IT and computer skills including demonstrated knowledge and experience with database management.

  • Flexibility for some out of hours work.

  • Working knowledge of disability sector and NDIS (desirable)

Direct experience working within the Disability sector coupled with knowledge of the NDIS would be a distinct advantage.
