Randstad’s dedicated Government Team has been partnering with Local, State and Federal Government Departments and Authorities across Australia for over 25 years. We are proactively seeking Business Support Officers for an upcoming assignment with a Federal Department based in the heart of Bundaberg. This position will be starting ASAP and will be a long term contract at the APS3 level.

About the Role:

The Business Support Officer will be responsible for a broad range of office administration and support duties including executive assistant support all staff where appropriate. The position requires an eye for detail and an ability to thrive in a constantly changing environments.

  • Provide administrative support to the Planner team.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Diary and travel management.
  • Fleet management and coordination of credit card acquittal requirements.
  • Coordinate and organise executive meetings and community forums where necessary.
  • Provide information of services provided and respond to general enquiries.
  • Data entry duties.
  • Receive and record complaints and other feedback in the data base.
  • Maintain utmost integrity and confidentiality of personal information

About You:

  • Prior experience in as a Business Support Officer
  • Fast and efficient keyboard skills; minimum 8,000 keystrokes per hour and 95% accuracy
  • Understand how to work collaboratively with a network to support the delivery of consistent, quality client service.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software specifically with Outlook, Word and PowerPoint – particularly the management of multiple diaries. This will be tested if shortlisted.
  • Competency with IT systems.
  • Immaculate attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a dynamic team.
  • Positive contemporary attitude to people with disabilities and understanding of disability and its impact on individuals.
