Our client, a National Retail Head Office requires a Buyers Assistant to join this highly energetic and successful team.

Your duties will include:

  • Laision with international suppliers regarding orders and stock
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Adhoc research for alternate manufacturer or shipping options when required
  • Price adjustments and markdowns of stock, then rolling this out to stores
  • Stock transfers between stores locally and nationally
  • Liaison with warehouse manager regarding incoming and outgoing stock and orders
  • Liaison with relevant authorities for incoming international shipments

To be successful for this role you will:

  • Have current experience in a support role to the procurement functionality
  • Be a quick thinker, with exceptional multi-tasking abilities
  • Possess outstanding communication skills as your main laision will be with international suppliers
  • Microsoft AX skills will be advantageous
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
