Director required at occasional care service – Eastern Suburbs – Part Time

Randstad Education specialises in the recruitment of Early Childhood staff across Melbourne. We specialise in Pre-Schools/Kindergartens, long day care centres, occasional care services, OOSH services and vacation programs. We are currently recruiting for a co-ordinator to run a 18 place occasional care serve in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

This small, well established occasional care in Wantirna area is seeking an experienced Diploma trained educator/co-coordinator to lead the centre and be inspirational to empower the existing staff. This centre provides great staff, child ratios, excellent funding and resources, and beautiful community based feel.

The role:

In this position you would be managing a small 18 place occasional care catering for children aged 0 - 5. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of the centre: daily routines, staffing, ratios, policies, regulations, rostering, staff management, parent relationships, implement policies and procedures, ensure the occasional care is providing the highest quality care. You would also be required to use quick kids to complete invoicing, so an understanding of this system is a must! Your role would be to run 3 hour sessions 4 times a week and then office and management duties

Essential:

  • Hold their completed Early Childhood Teaching degree or Diploma of Childrens servicers
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate
  • Ideally be experienced with QUICK KIDS
  • Be confident with leading and mentoring staff
  • Be experienced handling parent enquiries and conducting tours/orientations
  • Be experienced writing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Have a solid understanding of the EYLF
  • Have a solid understanding of new VICTORIAN regulations/legislation
  • Be looking to commit to a role long term
