The role:

As Client Services Officer, you will be the point of contact for a range of customer service and administration activities on behalf of the agency. You will be responsible for managing the team and everyone's caseloads as well as maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your key duties include:

  • Managing incoming client contact in a telephone intake setting which can include handling difficult conversations
  • Categorising and triaging cases by applying a formal framework
  • Identifying, escalating and managing risks
  • Ensuring efficient and accurate recording of information
  • Contributing to the priorities of a team and effectively managing individual caseloads
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicating effectively with people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds, and managing unreasonable client conduct
  • Managing own work responsibilities and workload in a timely and efficient manner

In order to be considered for this position you have to be

  • Australian citizen
  • Able to obtain a Baseline Level Security Clearance

  • Committed to quality administration and client services and is confident and resilient in liaising with internal and external stakeholders in relation to contentious or complex matters
  • Has a high level of communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex information to clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and communicate effectively with internal management
  • Has excellent time-management, being able to the prioritise work and ability to effectively prioritise and manage caseload
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of data recording
  • Able to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team, including assisting with quality assurance and participation in corporate activities
