Role Description

Due to continued and sustained growth within all sectors of our client’s business, we are now seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team located in Melbourne (South Eastern Suburbs), with responsibility across Victoria and Tasmania and additional contracts in other states.

You will be delegated to deliver value on the below tasks:

  • Lead and manage the internal and external contract and commercial management functions of the business. This opportunity will drive the accurate and effective commercial management of the business and the compliant administration of the Head Contract.
  • Support the business operations, financial management and administration of the Regional Project Teams.
  • The Management of Client and Subcontractor Contractual Evaluation, negotiation and dispute resolution, and third party claims.
  • Effectively leading the Contract Administration function by providing clear direction.
  • Development of policies and procedures in support of the project and program deliverables.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the Project as a member of the Leadership Team
  • Assist the State Manager and Project Accountant with Cost management, review, reconciliation and accruals, as well as the preparation of financial forecasts

Key Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification and/or 10 Years industry experience
  • Financial Administration Contract Management
  • Commercial Management
  • Project Accounting/ Management
  • Forecasting and Budgeting
  • Communication
  • Problem Solving
  • Report writing
  • Experience with business systems (SMS, MRS, Pronto, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced level MS Excel.
