Join this Australian EPC who specialises in providing project engineering and construction services for Utility Projects across Australia. Having a long term presence in the industry, a national presence and a loyal client base across Australia, they have extensive experience in delivering turnkey solutions to a wide range of both major and minor infrastructure projects. They boast one of the largest and most experienced multi-disciplined engineering teams across the country - out of Adelaide. This business is currently looking for a permanent Commissioning Engineer.

Reporting to the Testing and Commissioning Lead, you will be required to undertake a range of testing and technical works on site including FAT Controller work and all associated documentation. This will include client interface management and working amongst a small technical team. Close and regular contact with the project managers is essential. Addressing any outstanding issues relating to HSE and Quality will also be required, if evident.

The role:

  • Assisting with the handover of facilities to the client
  • Managing and coordinating the technical works carried out on site
  • Preparation of ITP’s
  • Liaising with and providing direction to the Construction and Field Engineering teams to ensure plant and equipment is turned over in a timely manner
  • Ensuring commissioning documentation is completed, and compiled according the client specifications
  • Undertaking investigation and preparing reports as directed
  • Assisting in the compilation of weekly and monthly progress reports

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A tertiary engineering background
  • Proven track record with major LV commissioning project delivery
  • Extensive experience in FAT functions
  • Sound knowledge of LV commissioning procedures & documentation
  • Understanding in Instrumentation drawings and control systems
  • Strong knowledge with Australian Standards including 61850
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong technical skills
