About the Client:

Our client is a highly known company that has a great opportunity available for a career driven Contract Administrator to join their exciting growing Business. They have a strong presence in Melbourne and a reoccurring history of success. Our client currently specialise within the Low – High rise residential apartment space, however they also work within the commercial sector.

About the Role:

As an experienced Contract Administrator within this business you will work within a successful and vibrant team and undertake cost management duties for projects of various nature within the building space. This company prides itself on hiring people to develop a long term career rather than gathering a new team per project and have a clear path ahead, with a vast amount of projects in the pipeline.

Duties:

  • Within your role you will write, review and submit tender documentation including drawings and specs and have a full understanding on the programmed construction process
  • Prepare subcontractor documents and manage subcontractor packages
  • Taking subcontracts through the negotiation stage to finalization
  • Manage payments, variations and progress claims, prepare financial cost forecasts, monitor cash flow, budgeting, and prepare progress reports.
  • Update and report to the PM and advise of any current issues.
  • Focus on increasing company growth

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years stable experience as a Contract Administrator
  • Residential and Commercial experience of projects from $15m+
  • Great interpersonal skills, team oriented approach and good work ethic
  • A minimum of 3 years solid Australian experience

About You:

To be successful you will need to be an experienced Contract Administrator who is ready to hit the ground running and more than capable of running your own show. You will have extensive local experience working on projects in excess of $15m and have a solid background in the commercial or apartment sectors. In addition to this you have the ability to build solid relationships with co-workers, have excellent communication skills and want to join a leading Tier 2 builder who has a solid reputation.
