Company Profile for the junior PM role

This established fitout and refurbishment company have been operating for 20 years and have developed quite a prestigious reputation in the industry! The projects they work on include state of the art commercial, educational and medical projects (and they do it very well)!

Due to rapid growth as they are moving to bigger offices in February they are looking for motivated, passionate and driven Contracts Administrators who are looking for a well structured environment to work within. You will have the opportuntity to run your own smaller jobs and work up to biggger projects over time

With projects from $250k to $20million they can offer a new challenge to those looking to take a step in in terms of responsibilities and exposure to a project

Main Duties of the Contracts Administrator/Junior PM role

  • Provide contract management across project timeline
  • Consultant management
  • Attending site visits for meetings and inspections
  • Work on 2-3 projects with assistance from the Senior PM
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Manage project financials, reports, claims and variations
  • Maintain communication to key stakeholders
  • Maintain document filing system and control
  • Coordinate permit applications and other documentation
  • Supporting project team, achieving contractual obligations and project objectives

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Contract Administrator
  • Exposure to fitout and refurbishment industry is ideal
  • Confident communicator, well presented and well articulated
  • Exceptional written skills
  • Exceptional negotiation, analytical and time management skills
  • Comfortable to work autonomously as well as in team
  • Confidently able to multitask and meet deadlines across multiple consecutive projects
