This government department is looking to bring on staff to provide the recruitment team with procurement advice and assistance. In addition, it undertakes a reporting role for the department to ensure compliance with procurement policy framework requirements relating to AusTender, Senate Order on Entity Contracts, and Grants.
What you'll need to succeed
If you’ve worked in government previously or can demonstrate an understanding of strong administrative activities, tender process and procurement strategy, this will be an advantage in ensuring your success. You will have needed to work in an agile, face paced environment and open to change. Government experience and/or a certificate IV in government procurement and FMIS platform experience would also be desirable.
As a member of the Contracts and Procurement Unit, you will be required to:
· Enter Contracts and raise Purchase orders in the Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
· Advise and assist staff undertaking simple procurement activities, including the preparation of request documentation, the evaluation of responses, and the negotiation and management of contracts.
· Provide planned and ad-hoc reporting of contracts and procurement activities.
· Providing advice to senior staff as required including collating documents and research tasks.
