Main duties:

  • Manage the department's tender processes including: procurement strategy, document development, evaluation methodology, evaluation, analysis, negotiation and formal acceptances on consultancy and professional services, civil works, maintenance and ICT contracts and construction
  • Ensure the probity requirements, fairness and transparency, throughout the tender processes and compliance with government procurement policies
  • As the procurement subject matter expert, ensure that all procurement processes are compliant to legislative and NSW Government Procurement Guidelines/Policies
  • Review and control the preparation, packaging and issue of clear, concise and comprehensive tender and quotation specifications
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on category related matters including industry trends and best practices
  • Where appropriate facilitate the supplier relationship management (SRM) processes to ensure compliance to the agreements
  • Comprehensive experience in the use, monitoring and maintenance of procurement systems including internal and government web based eprocurement systems

Candidate criteria and qualities for the role:

  • End to end procurement experience in professional services, civil works, maintenance, construction and ICT contracts
  • Experience with NSW Procurement Guidelines
  • Experience with Ariba and SAP
  • More than 2 years experience dealing with the above mentioned categories
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation
