Being an experienced Credit Specialist this position will see you manage your own ledger while working in a small close knit team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a ledger of approximately 500 active accounts
  • Opening of new accounts and carrying out relevant credit / background checks within appropriate timeframes
  • Reconciliation of bank statements and debtor accounts
  • Allocation of payments and follow up any unidentified funds
  • Handling customer enquiries and processing credit claims
  • Following up on outstanding / overdue invoices
  • Month end closure and reporting
  • Basic analysis on debtor accounts and identifying potential risk
  • Occasionally assisting and working closely with other departments
  • Ongoing review of current credit procedures and ensure improvements are made where required

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in credit control and managing your own ledger
  • Background in high volume or fast paced environment
  • Proven track record in driving productivity and maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate level excel
