About the Company

A major Victorian statutory authority in the Burwood East area is offering a fantastic Customer Service opportunity in one of its main locations. As a valued and integral part of the Victorian government; this authority is largely involved with improving Victoria’s public safety on the roads.

About the Role

You will be required to manage customers enquiries and questions on AND off site in a face to face environment. Dealing with queries on a variety of topics which will also be accompanied with an amount of practical, administrative and processing work. You will primarily work in testing, and more in depth customer service will come from a willingness to strive for improvement.

You will be required to work on an on-going temporary basis between 3-5 days per week (depending on requirements of the branch each week), and you MUST be fully available between Monday – Friday between 8:30am–4:30pm. Start date will be 12th NOVEMBER, 2018.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive high end face to face customer service levels
  • Fast paced practical duties which will involve giving customers clear instructions, outcomes and feedback
  • Deal with enquiries and applications for services
  • Perform administrative duties for processing enquiries
  • Communicate and interact with the team across the site
  • Providing cover if needed in nearby smaller sites
  • Abide by professional policies and procedures in place

Skills & Experience

  • Previous face to face customer service experience
  • Proof of resilience and ability to focus on current tasks
  • Ability to deliver outcomes professionally and confidently
  • Ability to deal with sometimes sensitive or personal material with empathy
  • A full, preferably clean, driving license
  • A “How can I help attitude?” not “I can’t help” attitude
  • Proven clerical and money handling skills
  • A good understanding of Victorian road laws
  • Professional and impeccable presentation
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge quickly and effectively
