Our client is an Australian-owned business distribution company with over 26 years experience. They are currently seeking a customer service team leader to join their close knit team based in Smithfield. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead a team of four customer service representatives as well as the the co-ordination of the department; focusing on improving efficiency and enhancing customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is willing to get their hands dirty to succeed in a company that looks after their own. You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities and tasks will include the following;

  • Manage and mentor a small team of customer service representatives
  • Develop and implement new processes and procedures
  • Reporting
  • Training, and developing individuals to achieve their full potential
  • Effective leadership of the Customer Service Team, with hands-on supervision, delegation of tasks and resource management
  • Analysis of team data and performance management, ensuring development of Customer Service Representatives to meet client KPI’s
  • Ensure the team effectively completes specific team instructions and provides timely reports

to be successful in this role, we require the following attributes and skills;

  • 2 years customer service team leader / management experience within the transport/logistics/freight background or related industry ideally
  • Experience with implementing process improvements and best practice customer service
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and impeccable time management
  • Vibrant personality who is passionate about providing best in class customer service
  • Excellent presentation skills and a high level of professionalism
