A Local Council, based in Sydney's western suburbs, is looking to appoint a DA Lodgement and Enquiry Officer. This is a permanent opportunity but the client is open to looking at this role on a contract basis.

The DA Lodgement and Enquiry Officer will be responsible for verbal and written responses to planning enquiries, over the counter review and lodgement of development applications. Review of fee quote for complex development applications, development assessment support tasks and assessment of minor development applications.

To be successful you will have enrolled or completed a Degree in Town Planning, Building Services or equivalent. Have a high level of knowledge and skills in areas of regulatory planning and building matters. Hold a Class C Drivers License. Be familiar with the Development Assessment Process and have a working knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and related legislation.

You will have strong customer service skills, be an excellent communicator and be highly organised.
