The Client

Immediate start available for a qualified Data Analyst with a market leading delivery partner of the NBN based in Melbourne’s South East.

My client has developed a reputation for consistently delivering within the busy telecommunications construction sector in Melbourne.

They are looking at expanding there team and offering an opportunity for the right candidate to be apart of the largest Network rollout yet.

The Role

**6 Months Fixed Term Contract**

The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing the reporting and analytics tools and reporting process for the programs.

Focus will be on developing process documentation as well as process system analysis & development, process testing, and analytics.

The analyst will also work on long term strategic deliverables with view to build and operate within the local analytics practice on the NBN project.

Portfolio Components:

  • Ensure working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders and staff to ensure that their requirements for data and reporting are met.
  • Establish a service culture within the team where the recommendations for business improvement and planning can be easily and effectively implemented.
  • Provide direction and management to the team to ensure open, consistent and frequent communication in relation to operational challenges, improvements and issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement/Management - capable of engaging various stakeholders to develop, document and deploy a process/system improvement solution. Very strong business skills, strong communication skills, ability facilitate meetings/workshops as required.
  • Requirements Analysis / Documentation - capable of assessing and clearly defining a Business Unit’s current operations/processes. Good listening skills are required and the ability to successfully, quickly and methodically gather requirements.
  • Solution Analysis - capable of assessing and defining system / process improvement opportunities to suit the Business Unit’s requirements. Ability to analyse business process and procedures, identify opportunities to introduce process / system improvements to deliver business benefits.
  • Process Testing - Using established systems/tools demonstrate the ability to test the process /system solution.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Advance data management skills using MS Suite, SQL and PL/SQL, SQL server reporting services and recognised analytical skills.
  • 1-3 yrs of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to effectively analyse data on performance to identify issues/problems and identify corrective action with relevant people.
  • Ability to prepare useful reports on performance using the KPI data.
  • Capable of owning deliverables end-to-end
