Experienced trade qualified diesel fitter required for a role based in Cleveland.

Randstad are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to maintain and repair our valued client's diverse range of fleet vehicles, plant and equipment. It will initially be for two months but there is potential for it to become a long term, ongoing role. Full time hours over a 9-day fortnight will be on offer. If you prefer a variety of duties in your role, this may be the role for you!


  • Maintain and repair a diverse range of fleet i.e. passenger vehicles, trucks, forklifts, mowers, tractors, heavy and light plant equipment
  • Metal fabrication, MIG welding and painting, where required
  • Timely repair of any breakdowns
  • A strong commitment to WHS and safe work practises
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Trade qualified diesel fitter with proven experience working on a variety of vehicles, plant and equipment
  • Medium Rigid (MR) license mandatory
  • Forklift (LF) license
  • Metal fabrication/welding experience will be highly regarded
  • Advanced ability to fault find and troubleshoot
  • Qualifications and skills are important but even moreso, you must have the right attitude for the job!
