Randstad Education specialises in the recruitment of Early Childhood staff across Melbourne. We specialise in Pre-Schools/Kindergartens, long day care centres, occasional care services, OOSH services and vacation programs.

This large, purpose built centre in the leafy suburb of Lower Plenty is seeking an experienced Diploma or ECT trained Director to run the team of 35 staff. The position would be managing a 6 room, 120 place long day care centre, open 6:30am – 6.30pm, and catering for children aged 0 - 5. Your role would include overseeing all aspects of the centre - daily routines; staffing; ratios; policies; regulations; rostering; staff management; parent relationships; implement policies and procedures; attend staff meetings where required and ensure the centre is providing the highest quality care.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold either a Diploma of Children’s Services or a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Hold current First Aid and Anaphylaxis training
  • Have a Working With Children Check card
  • Be experienced managing a team of up to 20 staff
  • Ideally be experienced as a centre manager
  • Be confident with leading and mentoring staff
  • Be experienced handling parent enquiries and conducting tours/orientations
  • Be experienced writing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Have a solid understanding of the EYLF
  • Have a solid understanding of new VICTORIAN regulations/legislation
  • Be looking to commit to a role long term
