Reporting to the State Manager you impact will be:

To expand the Retail distribution capacity by collaborating with other aligned Distribution Teams to secure blocks of new business associated with platform markets

  • To achieve tailored transition plans for each client within agreed parameters
  • To deliver industry-leading levels of service to your key stakeholders
  • To increase adviser awareness of the range of the companies products

As a Distribution Development Manager your responsibilities are:

  • To support other aligned distribution teams’ tender insurance requirements to successfully secure new mandates from their target customers.
  • Assist in developing the companies internal product, pricing, underwriting and process requirements around assessing and delivering ‘take-over’ terms for each target client.
  • Manage the successful on-boarding of new business arising from ‘take-over’ terms
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to advisers
  • Effective use of Salesforce to record activity, conversations and campaigns
  • Work closely with state teams to manage the ongoing relationship with advisers involved in the take over process
  • Maintain a high level of product competency and awareness of Industry issues
  • 100% successful completion of all required competency and the business eLearning requirements

About you:

  • Product promotion and negotiation skills
  • Excellent process management capabilities
  • Possess appropriate technical skill to understand and manage issues raised by financial advisers
  • Determination to be an outstanding performer within a competitive environment
  • Minimum of 4 years financial and/or sales skills background
  • RG146 compliant (mandatory)
  • Proven communication/relationship/presentation skills
  • Tertiary Qualifications (preferred)
  • Studying or completed Diploma of Financial Planning (preferred).
