Our client is among the world’s top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia. This leading mining organisation is currently seeking the services of multiple experienced Document Controllers.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for the registration, distribution and submission of project documentation in accordance with documented policies and procedures. Critical to your success in this role will be expert document control and management of project information to support the Studies Project Team and collaborate with various specialists in order to create maximum value to the mining operations.

Core Functions of the position:

  • You will support document management systems and related methodologies, strategies and systems for a program of capital projects that allow those teams to capture, store, retrieve, share, and archive electronic records and documents.
  • It will be a key requirement to contribute to continuous improvement in the management of information and provide a proactive approach to change including effective problem solving and decision making.
  • Applicants fully versed on use of the Document Management Systems including SmartPlant (SPO) & Aconex will be viewed favourably. Strong computer literacy as well as exposure to Microsoft Office / Adobe / EDMS is required.
  • Professional qualifications related to information management and experience across the engineering / resources industry will be highly regarded.
