This is a great opportunity for a document controller to commence a challenging role and join our clients great work environment promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of all workers.

We are seeking a document controller with recent experience working in a fast paced environment within utilities, engineering or construction.

You will be responsible for hands-on management and control of project design and vendor documentation. This includes tasks such as registering, classifying, tracking, reporting, scanning and distributing all electronic and hard copy deliverables and other documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and management including management of all aspects of Project documents
  • Ensure consistency of training, document management process and use of data and document control procedures
  • Develop and implement procedures to provide a satisfactory and efficient document control system
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external project meetings and workshops.
  • Coordinate and induct all project-related external stakeholders and contractors.
  • Ensure all technical documentation is kept up to date and easily accessible.
  • Prepare project documentation including letters, memos, reports and presentations
  • Update and maintain the document control system
  • collation and analysis of technical project information
  • Ad –hoc duties per business requirements (eg- back-fill support to the Project Administrator)

In order to be successful you will possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support a large group of technical specialists
  • Experience supporting a project team in a utilities/construction/engineering environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management software incl Sharepoint and ACONEX
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to produce high quality technical reports
  • Knowledge of all legislated rules and codes governing the business and industry
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current SA drivers licence
