About the role
This 56 place centre requires an Early Childhood Teacher, your primary responsibility is to implement and evaluate programs for children in the preschool room. Through daily observations, you will ensure the individual needs of all children are met, and they are inspired to grow and develop to achieve their very best.

Criteria for the position are:

  • a love of early childhood education
  • experience working with young children, helping them to achieve their potential in a fun-filled, welcoming and safe environment
  • skills to effectively plan and implement an educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development
  • the skills to guide team members with their professional development, individual goals and performance
  • a proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with children and their families
  • willingness to assist with daily room tasks - e.g. activity preparation, meal times and general cleaning
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • a commitment to meeting day-to-day administrative responsibilities, including attending meetings, maintaining health and safety and hygiene standards, caring for equipment, and promptly and appropriately responding to illness, accidents and emergencies
  • a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • skills to ensure compliance with relevant Government Regulations
  • a commitment to excellence in early childhood education and care

Essential criteria:

  • Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved by ACECQA
  • Genuine love and passion for early childhood
