School Overview: The Australian Curriculum School has three campuses; one nestled among the high rise apartments and residential area of the bustling central Sukhumvit road area of Bangkok, the second located nearby in a quiet, leafy residential area and the third in a growing and prosperous residential area in Northern Bangkok. Each campus provides high quality academic education for its students and is populated by staff, students and families from many different parts of the world. Curriculum is based on Australian National Curriculum and provides a balanced combination of direct teaching, enquiry based learning and a strong co-curricular program. The academic focus is on literacy, numeracy and the creative arts of music and visual art. The curriculum is embedded in the local and international context, with adjustments made to take account of their location, and the nationality of the students. Requirements: The school prefers teachers with 2+ years of experience, although they can take new graduates if they can demonstrate excellence in their teaching internship. Applications are preferred from Australian trained and experienced teachers, although they will also accept applications from native Eng speakers from either, NZ, Canada, the UK or the USA . They are looking for excellent teachers who are energetic, have a high tolerance of frustration, are easy going, culturally sensitive, and prepared to work in teams. The school is interested in every teacher’s value and added attributes such as sport culture, performance or specialist skills.
