About the role

  • Years 7-12.
  • Fulltime, which comes down to 31 hours
  • Teaching English is your passion
  • Utilise available technology
  • Plan and conduct assessments, provide feedback to students, report on student learning and use the outcomes to student assessment to inform classroom plans.
  • Apply appropriate knowledge of and implement effective and inclusive learning and teaching processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards attainment of their potential.
  • Supervising students in timetabled classes, occasional supervision periods, on Grounds Duty and at School functions that staff and students are expected to attend
  • Communicate effectively with students and other members of the community, including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills.

About you


  • Are an Australian Citizen or Resident with valid work rights
  • Have a valid current registration with QCT
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience teaching English
  • Are an excellent role model
  • Uphold and support the Christian ethos of the college
  • Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment and are able to contribute to the extensive co-curricular program
  • Are an excellent communicator and work cooperatively with teachers, parents and other members of the college’s community
  • Deal with student behavioural problems according to the School’s philosophy on behaviour management and discipline.
