Summary:

Permanent opportunity to start week 2 of term 3 or ASAP at a co-educational Independent school based in Sydney.

The Role:

  • Teach Stage 5 elective - Literacy Enrichment
  • Develop and deliver effective intervention programmes
  • Devise and deliver individual learning plans
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to support assessment for learning of their students with additional needs and ensure inclusion of all students.
  • Identify specific learning and support needs.
  • Work with parents, and where appropriate, other external agencies to provide co-coordinated services.
  • NCCD in the Middle School

The School:

Co-educational Independent school located in Sydney that provides Christian learning from Kindergarten until year 12. The enrichment and learning department role is to meet students needs for support, extension and English as an additional language. Too support teachers and build their capacity to identify, document and differentiate teaching and learning.

The Successful Teacher Will:

  • Have relevant teaching qualifications
  • NESA accreditation in Stages 4-6 or willingness to gain
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special/Inclusive education
  • Valid working with children check
  • Willingness to adopt ethos of the school
  • Experienced in working with students who have a range of specific learning difficulties and disabilities.
