Financial Adviser - Canberra

  • Provide a broad range of advisory services to bank clients
  • Be supported to manage and grow your own book of clients

The role

The primary focus of this role is to engage new and existing clients in order to discuss their financial situation, identify and meet their strategic advice needs, and implement appropriate solutions. This a client-facing position with emphasis on maintaining outstanding customer relations, placing the client at the centre of everything you do. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional with a proven ability to establish a strong rapport with clients. You will need to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge and keep up to date on legislation changes. In order to make all this happen, you will be provided access to leading client and market intelligence tools that will place you in the best possible situation to succeed.

Key responsibilities

  • educate potential clients about the business capabilities and how it can help them grow their wealth
  • identify client needs through discussion and assessment and refer the client to the appropriate specialist
  • Work as part of a team to deliver the best service whilst relying on cross promotions and collaborative approaches to best serve the client
  • ensure you keep up to date and work within the Australian regulatory context
  • a hands-on approach to maintaining a client-centred environment
  • Strong focus on generating leads and referrals
  • meet revenue targets and other KPIs

About you

To be successful as a Financial Adviser, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • ability to bring a book across OR ability to grow a book within the first 12 months
  • strong compliance record
  • outstanding sales skills
  • communication skills of the highest standard
  • the ability to synthesise complex financial and investment information
  • Tech savvy and experience navigating financial planning software
  • excellent time management skills
  • the ability to multi-task
