about the client

This organisation is a global construction company with customers from a range of industries including Aged Care, Commercial, Industrial and Education just to name a few.

about the role

This is a newly created role reporting to the General Manager, Human Resources. You will be a motivated, eager HR administrator looking to support the broader HR function with all mannner of HR tasks and project work. The organisation is currently undergoing growth and change, your understanding of HR essentials and your ability to multi - task will see you ensure the tiemly completion of project tasks.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining employee files/database
  • Provide administrative assistance during the implementation of a new HRIS
  • Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the human resource information system (HRIS);
  • Preparing HR documentation for new staff along with internal correspondence (Employment contracts, letters, probation letters etc.);
  • Assisting with onboarding, induction and HR operations
  • Ad hoc HR projects as required

about you

  • You will have a motivated, can-do attitude ;
  • Tertiary qualified in Business majoring in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or
  • A minimum of a Diploma in HR;
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in HR Administration
  • A solid understanding of HR fundamentals;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Technically savvy with experience across the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using pivot tables, mail merges and Visio would be ideal
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate with managers and staff at all levels
  • Must be proactive, able to work in a fast paced environment and be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting involved.
