We are currently seeking a HR Advisor to design HR processes and projects for our client; a small and growing company that provides boutique, customised office design and product solutions to the commercial sector.

This initial short-term contract will see you work closely with management and continue as an ongoing contractual arrangement. Commencing with the strategic design and development of the HR function for the small business and continuing in a flexible consultative capacity to support the essential delivery and facilitation of performance management reviews and HR requirements.

You will support management with recommendations in employee relations, remuneration and benefits, contract management, performance management, OH&S and culture development. While making recommendations for the most HR model for the business to utilise.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Provide generalist HR advice and support to management and employees
  • Determine and deliver essential HR projects as required by the business
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation and ability to advise
  • Ensure HR policies meet current legislative requirements
  • Design the performance management process and facilitate periodic performance reviews
  • Provide advice, support and coaching to managers in relation to performance management, workplace behaviour and other relevant HR matters
  • Review of position descriptions, remuneration and benefits
  • Contract Management

About you:

  • You are someone who thrives on making an initial impact, providing a high level of HR consulting to management, with the commitment in guiding the delivery and implementation on a flexible - needs based contractual arrangement following the initial 3-4 month contract.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years generalist HR and /or HR Business Partner experience
  • You have demonstrated ability in delivering successful HR solutions for SME Businesses
  • Advise and support management strategically and operationally
  • Engage and build relationships with leaders and employees
  • You have the ability to effectively communicate with both white and blue collar personnel
  • You have current knowledge of Australian legislation including Awards interpretation
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related Business qualification (preferred)
