Our client, a public services company that covers the infrastructure and construction sector is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join on a 9 Month fixed-term contract to hit the ground running and provide on-going operational and strategic advice.

Key Accountabilities
• Provide coaching and strategic advice, to directors and managers and facilitate processes in all areas of HR including workforce planning, performance management, recruitment, change, culture and engagement, wellbeing, recognition, employee relations, conflict management, career development and other people policies and processes.
• With a focus on early intervention and local resolution, manage people concerns including assessment of workplace issues, negotiating and applying appropriate action ensuring relevant legislation, industrial instruments and HR policies are interpreted and applied.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with directors and managers in designated client groups
• Use data and analytics to support evidence-based discussions to drive people strategies and initiatives within client groups.
• Work cohesively and collaboratively with the broader HR team to ensure optimum customer service and a solutions-focussed approach occurs across the functions.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Extensive HR business partnering, stakeholder management and organisational development experience
  • Expert knowledge across the employment life cycle, contemporary people practices and experience developing and implementing organisational development initiatives to build capability
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and relationships quickly
  • Extensive leadership and coaching experience
  • Ability to interpret relevant legislation and policies: Demonstrated expertise and understanding of relevant legislation and policies in HR management.
  • Must be able to start immediately
