This state gov organisation is looking to engage an Interface Manager to manage pavement corridor infrastructure associated with state roads in order to maximise asset performance within available funding constraints. This is a initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension.
The Interface Manager will assist with the development of the forward maintenance program for pavement and corridor infrastructure by creating detailed route maintenance strategies and analysis. They will prepare detailed project brief's for issue to regional delivery teams.
They will ensure maintenance program is delivered on time, to cost and is in accordance with the organisations safety requirements. This will be achieved by monitoring and reporting progress and implementing corrective actions.
They will be responsible for providing high level technical advice on the design and evaluation of pavements, wearing surfaces, earthworks, drainage and roadside issues for pavement and corridor projects. They will participate in project teams to ensure consistency is adopted across the region. They will also oversee and co-ordinate responses to maintenance issues raised by customers.
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified engineer, with proven ability as an effective manager and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. They will have broad experience in managing the development and delivery of road maintenance, rehabilitation and construction projects. They will hold broad experience in project management, tendering procedures and contract administration.
They will have knowledge of the technical aspects of materials, equipment and techniques used in road construction and maintenance. Have excellent communication skills and experience in the application of computerised techniques for financial project and information management.
