As a IT Desktop Support Engineer your role will see you provide internal support for network infrastructure and internal desktop / laptop systems, for both software and hardware issues.

Global IT Hardware provider requires an IT Desktop Support Engineer for their office in North Sydney.

As a IT Desktop Support Engineer your role will see you provide internal support for network infrastructure and internal desktop / laptop systems, for both software and hardware issues.

On a daily basis you will be required to:

  • Provides day-to-day level 1 and level 2 expert troubleshooting and high-level technical support.
  • Support users both remotely and face-to-face, including the troubleshooting of remote access technologies.
  • Ensure support requests are resolved within SLA in accordance with ITIL principles.
  • One-on-one daily interaction with end-users and other IT support professionals.
  • Complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes as defined by your manager.
  • Installation and upgrading of various hardware & software.
  • Document practises, solutions, known issues, and common troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train users on technology and upgrades.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 3+ years Technical IT related degree or equivalent with experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for both software and hardware issues related to desktop, laptops, mobiles, printers, peripherals etc.
  • Solid technical background with Windows and Apple systems (Win10/OSX Sierra), Microsoft applications, O365, Skype for Business, Active directory, remote access technologies, Video conferencing, SCCM, Casper and Duo security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and understanding of networking basics, VOIP and TCP/IP.

Public transport consisting of Trains and Buses is only 5 minutes away.

This role is a 12 months fixed term with the option to extend.
