An exciting opportunity has recently become available within a Global Market leader who specialist in Pet Accessories.

We are currently looking to bring a strong Key Account Manager to take on the highly profitable Retail sector here in QLD.

Client Details

This is a global organisation with high profile Pet Accessories brand who sell into the retail sector. They are looking to hire a highly motivated / Key Account Manager / National Account Manager. This organisation has seen significant growth across ANZ and APAC since the start of the year, due to adapting to the market and successful new product development. The position will have you reporting directly to the General Manager and the main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Strategic Account Management and mainly maintain the 7 Million Dollar portfolio across 7 accounts after 12 months growth will be expected
  • Managing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strategy meetings with the Senior Management team
  • Engage with a range of Retail customers in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 Retailers.
  • Achieving and exceeding set budgets, monitoring retail activation and implementing promotional activity
  • Developing and agreeing short and long term business plans
  • Preparing promotional planning guidelines and commercial objectives and presenting point of purchase strategies
  • Manage trade spend, utilizing annual trade promotion budgets
  • Manage all category analysis, leveraging category data to increase sales opportunities
  • You will be one of the main point of contacts internally and externally for this account, working as a strategic partner and building a strong relationship


You will be able to work autonomously, have at least 7 years experience within the retail sector and a go getter attitude. Someone whom is reliable and of a strategic mind.

  • At least 5-7 years experience in dealing with the Retail sector – Non Negotiable
  • Strong problem solver
  • Strong technical sales aptitude
  • Cross selling and consultative selling experience
  • Ideally you have come from a Technology sales background in Pet accessories, grocery or FMCG into the retail sector
  • Commercially minded
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Commercial sales ability to identify opportunities in the market
  • Passionate with the ability to motivate and lead others
  • Work as a team to deliver shared team and company goal's
