Seeking a Fitter machinist - Mechanical to join this company as a workshop technician. Excellent career progression opportunities. Seeking a self starter, able to work independently and manage workload. Must have excellent communication skills.

This is no ordinary Service Technician's role. The company is multi-national with a reputation for exceptional service and thorough attention to detail in the repair and refurbishment of their products.

Their products are used in heavy industry and the critical part they play in production requires fastidious repairs that maintain the high standards the company is known for.

In order to be considered for the role, you will have high attention to detail. You will be methodical, process driven, thorough and have exceptional diagnostic skills and a strong customer focus.

Mainly based in their workshop in Ingleburn, this role will require stripping, cleaning, analysing, reporting, quoting, order capturing, physical repairing, re-assembling and some documenting. The product is complex and the process of repair is long and intricate which requires a methodical processes to be followed.

The role will require a solid background in Mechanical engineering or Fitter / Machinist with the ability to read and interpret technical drawing and make sound engineering judgements as to the functions of critical mechanical components.

You will also be very familiar with quality control measurement techniques, instruments and the function / purpose of engineering tolerances.

You will display excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Experience in Aerospace, Chemical, Mining, Pulp & Paper or Shipping and the repair and warranty environment would be suitable for this role.

We also require basic abilities with MS OFFICE - WORD, Excel, Email to carry out required documentation.
