Interior Designer

AJ+C are looking for a Revit proficient interior designer to join a team of 80 design professionals in Chippendale.

The company

AJ+C is a leading multi disciplinary Australian architectural firm offering experience, integrity and innovation. They specialise in delivering award-winning buildings, urban design and interiors projects at various scales, from smaller detailed design projects to complex large scale masterplans. You will be working with a dynamic and energetic team of around 80 in the Chippendale office. With real prospects for internal career advancement and internal and external training the role will suit someone who is driven, motivated and ready to take on a challenge.

The interiors team are made up of 7 designers who work collaboratively across all stages of a project. You will have the opportunity to work on various different projects types including education, seniors living, residential and mixed use.

The role

  • Design and develop the clients brief and create concept designs of interiors for multiple project types
  • Produce high quality detailed design and documentation using revit
  • Work closely with architects and consultants to determine how interior spaces will function taking into consideration how the space will be used
  • Selecting materials and furnishings such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes and flooring

The requirements

  • Bachelor of interior design or Recognised qualification from a reputable design institution
  • 5+ year’s local experience working across either residential, aged care or education sectors
  • Must be proficient in Revit and be comfortable with documentation full packages using the software
  • You will be a highly creative individual with strong conceptual design skills
  • Excellent design detailing and documentation skills
  • Excellent verbal, graphic and written communication skills
