** SEEKING RETAIL BANKING / HOSPITALITY / HIGH VOLUME CLIENT FACING FM BASE EXPERIENCE **

The role of National Facilities Manager - Retail will provide operational excellence through professional and strategic facilities management to their client in the banking sector. Leading a team of Senior Facility Managers, Facility Managers, and Facility Coordinators, this role will also provide direction, strategy and a seamless solution for the client.

Reporting to the Operations and Shared Services Manager, the National Facilities Manager will be responsible for:

  • The entire portfolio which consists of approximately 3000 properties Australia wide.
  • Prepare, submit, manage and report on the Retail OPEX budget consisting of reactive and preventative maintenance activities
  • Regularly analyse actual costs looking for ways to maximise savings and reduce reactive work
  • Identify CAPEX items and assist in the preparation of the CAPEX budget
  • Consistently meet KPIs related to the delivery of the Retail FM services
  • Timely review and approval of invoices for payment
  • Develop and manage a high performance team through - Performance Management, Coaching and mentoring of the retail FM team
  • General team administration including management of leave, expenses, succession planning and recruitment
  • Issue incident communications to the business as they occur on a 24/7 basis
  • Provide incident updates as required by the Crisis Management team
  • Provide post incident reporting including root cause analysis, action plan, options for mitigation and recommendations
  • Ensure business cases are submitted in a timely fashion, are accurate and are completed in line with the processes and procedures
  • Maintain a high quality FM service delivery through regular contractor audits, contractor meetings and measuring performance against key performance indicators and the agreed scope of works for both preventative and reactive maintenance
  • At all times represent the group professionally, accurately and consistently
  • Maintain and minute regular team meetings
  • Review the condition reports for the portfolio and ensure maintenance standards and expectations are maintained and in compliance with best practice
  • Provide regular reports to the Operations and Shared Services Manager
  • Ensure contractor inductions are in place and that all compliance, legislative requirements are met and maintained
  • National travel may be required from time to time.

Experience Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • At least 15 years experience in Facilities Management
  • Technical capabilities and well-rounded understanding of FM infrastructure
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated FM strategy, planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills
  • Experience managing a team, with ability to lead and manager large, state based teams
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills and flawless attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills including demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and deliver on tight deadlines
  • An ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build positive, lasting business relationships
  • Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S and environmental systems
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible / innovative approach to problems and opportunities
  • Proficient in desktop applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of CMMS - Computerised Maintenance Management Systems

Essential

  • Gradual level Qualifications in FM or Diploma in Technical Building / FM Service
  • Expertise in use of management information systems and applications

  • Industry recognised course in Building / Facilities Management or related discipline
  • FM experience in retail / banking sectors
