About the job

Working as part of the Business Support division, the purpose of the National Sales Manager is to lead sales generation across the commercial and assessment centre space with a large focus on project based work leading to growth in revenue, GP and profitability across this sector for the company.

You will be working in partnership with our recruiters by introducing our HR and recruitment solutions into a broader network of clientele, talking about features and benefits of these tools. A background or thorough understanding of recruitment is essential for your success in this role.

You will lead a team of Business Development Managers who will be based in various locations and they will have a local focus for the growth strategy. This role requires a collaborative approach to work and effective stakeholder engagement to ensure that all parties are aligned to achieve business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquisition of tender opportunities and business won through strong sales strategy and focus
  • Achievement of agreed sales targets (including budget) and other business metrics within the division
  • Work in partnership with the recruitment consultants to ensure seamless service delivery to clients for all work and projects undertaken
  • Continual surveillance of the market to develop and review strategies to ensure consistent sales, market share growth and GP growth
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of Randstad’s recruitment and service offerings, competitors, market and industry developments across the local market
  • Involvement in information sharing events such as CEO breakfasts etc. for clients with the purpose of enhanced branding and positioning within the market as well as generating GP
  • Lead specific sales initiatives across all divisions to increase awareness, leads and GP

Candidate profile experience

  • Recruitment / HR solutions background or experience
  • Success in client engagement, relationship management and growing sales revenue
  • Strong business to business sales experience
  • Consistent record of client attraction strategies and quality lead generation
  • Demonstrated experience in winning large volume/project assessment centre based work
