About the role: Bitek is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to manage and build on current national accounts, conduct business development activates and be the main point of contact for the Bitek team and clients on account information, products and business strategies.

This role will be reporting directly to the CEO and can be based in Canberra or Sydney.

Role and Responsibility

  • Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy and business initiatives in alignment with wholesalers and electrical wholesale industry.
  • Reporting and forecasting on sales pipeline and activity
  • Set budgets for branches and sales staff on a state and Australia wide basis
  • Set business indicatives for FY19 in conjunction with purchasing/CFO/CEO.
  • Driving KPI and sales targets & objectives
  • Hold national and state sales meetings with sales staff and state managers
  • Work closely with electrical wholesalers to ensure an approved supplier status is reached and maintained nationally. Work towards a preferred supplier status as a key KPI.
  • Work with key suppliers to electrical wholesalers to ensure sales growth.
  • Identifying opportunities with existing and potential new customers on a national level.
  • Measure sales growth for branches whilst maintaining margins.
  • Help implement price structures on a state/national level.
  • Generate reports/analyse reports and act on them accordingly to build the brand.
  • Work closely with operations manager and key staff in Canberra.
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism and customer service.
  • Willing to travel nationally and potentially internationally.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior management position desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in similar role with a proven track record in field sales in the Electrical/Data/Security or TV industry
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Positive and tenacious attitude and an unyielding passion for success
  • A degree in business marketing and/or management is highly desirable.
