Randstad is seeking an experienced .Net Developer to be apart of a multi-disciplinary project team, contributing to the development of software, web, and multi-media applications that facilitate achievement of business outcomes and improve business efficiencies and processes through the leverage of technology.

Key accountabilities:

  • Work with Product Owner to refine and prioritise backlog items
  • Estimate backlog user stories
  • Work in two-week development sprints
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions at the start of each sprint
  • Attend daily stand up meetings, sprint review sessions and retrospective meetings
  • Develop automated tests such as unit and UI tests
  • Develop behaviour driven development testing
  • WCAG testing to ensure accessibility standards compliance
  • Participate in code peer review
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Automate deployments
  • Ensure the integrity and security of all data and software code

Key challenges:

  • Working with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and expectations
  • Managing tight delivery timeframe
  • Ensuring the product is WCAG compliant
  • Integrating with other information systems
  • Ensuring systems comply with security standards

Essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SCRUM principles
  • Extensive experience in:
  • C# .NET, MVC
  • Object Oriented development (SOLID)
  • Dependency Injection
  • Front end js frameworks (Angular or similar)
  • CSS
  • SQL Server 2012 or higher
  • Unit/UI Testing - Selenium automation
  • BDD
  • API and web service development skills
  • Git
  • TFS
  • Responsive design
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating systems using Queues or Message Bus
