As Quality Improvement Advisor you will have the responsibility of supporting the embedding of quality practice across 3 Early Childcare centres, spanning across the Cairns region. This position comes with amazing support from Head Office, relocation allowance and attractive remuneration.

Do you enjoy providing strong commercial leadership and operational direction to multiple childcare centres? Do you thrive on building strong personal relationships, results and the implementation of quality improvement and best practice standards?

This Area Manager will be responsible for the ongoing support and directives of 3 beautiful centres located across the Cairns region. You will be required to support the embedding of quality practice across these centres with a focus on NQS areas 1 (Educational program and practice), 5 (Relationships with children) and 6 (Collaborative partnerships with families and communities).

Responsibilities include:

  • Review current centre practices across NQS Quality Area 1, 5 and 6;
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing improvement based on NQS and contemporary best practice industry standards;
  • Inform stakeholders of recommendations to assist in the development of the Quality Improvement Plan;
  • Advise on, and conduct, on and off the floor training and development according to centre teams;
  • Develop a collaborative working environment through partnerships with internal/ external parties
  • Source resources to inform, support and improve practice.
  • Encourage focus on continuous improvement by effectively coaching and mentoring


  • 5 years’ experience as a Centre Manager
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or equiv (or higher)
  • Current Working with Children Check or equivalent;
  • Current Driver's Licence;
  • Experience in the delivery of training and assessment of staff & processes
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Sound knowledge of legislation relating to the early childhood profession.
  • Knowledge of current trends/issues relevant to early childhood profession
