My client is an Australian owned business who has enjoyed massive growth and prosperity in the last 30 years. They are a leader in servicing the needs of major shippers that have central warehousing and express road freight requirements, in a cost effective and reliable distribution method, this independent Australian-owned transport and Logistics Company offers solutions on a national basis.

After developing a combination of company facilities and regional agency networks and due to their expansion, my client is currently looking for a driven and experienced Business Development Manager that can help the business growth and further expand their already established client’s base.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a solid working relationship with key accounts across the business
  • Working proactively to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Building, long lasting relationships with existing customers and prospecting new business
  • Preparing sales quotations and follow up
  • Sales negotiations which help sustain revenue margins

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication skills and proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong business acumen
  • Break-bulk or express delivery services exposure
  • Experience managing account ranging from $200,000 to 2 million
  • Business-driven and hunter mentality
  • Experience with domestic national road freight would be highly regarded, although not necessary
  • A genuine passion for sales
  • A full/clean driver’s license

The salary offered for this position is $100,000 -$120,000 + Super + Bonus (up to 60K, but uncapped) + car allowance.
