The Client
A national specialist in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. They run a busy operation here in Victoria with 60 staff managing their high value products.

The Responsibilities
• Drive the Operations team to deliver a sound strategy by providing inputs based on the analysis and assessment of the current state of business
• Lead and support strategic initiatives within quality and process
• Analyse and assess areas of opportunity to drive efficiency in the business
• Promote Lean/Six Sigma expertise and knowledge by assisting other departments and direct reports in the application and implementation of Lean/Six Sigma principles and tools
• Work actively to create and build a culture that is focused on continuous improvement
• Organise benchmarking, training, seminars etc..
• Deliver training modules based on current needs and goals
• Develop processes on business performance from customers
• Use feedback from customers to help drive strategic initiatives and focus as needed
• Lead the effort to manage change within the organisation tied to corporate and other mandatory initiatives
• Effectively manage communication to help prioritize business needs and requests
• Develop understanding of current systems and work to drive improvements for day to day business activities and needs
• Partner with other departments and managers to drive change throughout the organisation

The Person
An operations management professional with experience in a large, global organization;
Exemplary people management skills
Excellent commercial awareness with a sound understanding of decision impact within Quality, process reliability and corporate compliance.
Committed to providing a high level of customer service

Qualifications
Tertiary Qualifications in either Operations, Engineering or Supply Chain
MBA or other related Master’s Degree preferred
Lean Manufacturing Training as well as process Excellence/Six Sigma tools
Experience working within a global corporate environment will be an advantage
