The Role:

The assistant Coordinator is the primary staff member responsible on the site for the operation of the service – duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide effective programs that engage children and families and meet the National Quality Framework and Standards
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of the programs provided
  • Review the Quality Improvement Plans on a regular basis and keep it up-to-date
  • Establish positive relationships with families and value parents' inputs
  • Ensure staff are managed and coached to achieve the delivery of a quality experience for children
  • Participate in regular staff team meetings, complete staff rosters and responsible for staff performance appraisals

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • ECT Degree in Early Childhood or a Diploma in Children’s services or Certificate III in Children's Services or be studying towards this
  • First Aid Certificate, Asthma training, Anaphylaxis and Child Protection training – or the ability to obtain these
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the My Time Our Place Framework and National Quality Standards
  • Experience in working with school age children in an OOSH setting; candidate with room leader experience in Early Years space will also be considered
  • Team-player, excellent communication skills in written and spoken; organisational and time management skills
