A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader for a large well-resourced Out of School Hours Care program located at Erskineville.

The centre

My client is part of a not for profit organisation who provide diverse education and care, family support and professional development services to the early and middle childhood sector across NSW.

They offer a high standard of education and care to children and families through respectful and responsive interactions and strong relationships in a safe and inclusive environment.

The Role

The OSHC Assistant Coordinator will work closely with an experienced Coordinator in the delivery of a leisure based program for the children.

The suitable candidate will have experience and a strong understanding of school aged children with knowledge of the My Time Our Place framework to undertake the delegation of Educational Leader.

The position is term-time only with the option of working in the vacation care program during school holiday periods.

There is a requirement to work some split shifts across the week and the option of additional hours for the completion of specific research projects related to the role of Educational Leader.

About you

The position would suit a candidate who is confident, well organised and able to work independently and as a member of a large team. You will have experience in a similar role and understand your role as leader and certified supervisor.

The successful candidate will have the ability to engage with children in an authentic and positive way. In return you will receive an Educational Leaders allowance, access to professional development and non-contact hours and support to undertake the responsibilities and key requirements of the role.

Essential requirements for this position are:

  • Qualifications or study in Education or similar
  • A current first-aid certificate and asthma and anaphylaxis training or willingness to undertake training in this area & WWCC.
  • The ability to interact well with children and build positive relationships with families
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work and contribute to a team
