Due to the new season packaging of influenza vaccines, we are now recruiting for highly motivated candidates to commit for approx 3 to 4 month period working in the company's head office in Parkville (Melbourne). With a great working culture, we often have up to 60% return for subsequent seasons during the year.

This assignment will give you the experience of working for a company that is known to be a leader in their field. The position will teach you a wide range of skills that you may use in future career opportunities.

To be considered for these roles you will need to meet the following criteria and have the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent Communication
  • Well presented, Clean Safety Boots and protective clothing
  • Must be able to commence in October and be able to commit for their whole season
  • Must have a positive attitude towards work and take direction from supervisors
  • The position will require you to be available for either Day, Afternoon and Night shifts. Some overtime, shift and weekend work may be required.
  • Perform your daily duties consistent with Company values: Customer Focus, Innovation, Integrity, Collaboration and Superior Performance.
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy
  • Have basic IT skills

Some of your day to day tasks will include:


  • Changing rolls on machinery (approx. every 2 hours).
  • Manually feeding machines with stack of inserts from boxes.
  • Moving around 8.6kg boxes from pallets and onto conveyors (blister pack machine) – completing around 10-15 per shift. Moving boxes with syringe barrels (around 15kgs).
  • Manually feeding syringes onto conveyor
  • Wiping down packs with biocide and alcohol.
  • Placing packs into syringe loading room (every 2-3hours).
  • Laminar flow room; cutting of packs and restacking.
  • Various quality checks throughout operations (checking if there are breakages in syringes).
  • Equipment preparation/Non-sterile room
  • Assembling various equipment
  • Disassembling equipment to manually wash.
  • Placing equipment in autoclaves for sterilisation (loads will vary, physically demanding).
  • Cleaning (ceilings, floors, walls, disassembling and reassembling equipment/machinery).

Candidates of all backgrounds (including local students, working holiday with 6 months+ validity) will be considered, however you will need to have had some experience in manual handling within the last 6 months.

Candidates who have the following attributes will be strongly considered:

  • Experience in working within clean and sterile environments within the hospitality, science laboratory and health sectors (e.g. hospitals, clinics, vets)
  • Experience in performing Quality Assurance and Checks on a production line
  • Experience working in a repetitive environment
  • Can demonstrate neat handwriting, attention to detail, quick thinking, basic math and IT skills
