Our client, a Public Sector Department in the CBD requires a Procurement Officer for 3 months initially with the view of extension.

This role will commence in July.

The Procurement Officer is responsible for the development, negotiation, documentation and management of contracts. This individual is responsible for implementing procurement strategies and plans that support the delivery of best practice outcomes. You will join a small team, utilising your expertise in providing services to meet specific commercial requirements.

This role will assist with the management of compliance and governance as well as coordinating relevant, timely and quality performance analysis to ensure proactive procurement practices.

The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively within the team ensuring value to key stakeholders and that services remain aligned with overall procurement and department strategies.

We are seeking candidates with considerable experience in a strategic procurement environment. Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills are a requirement of the role.

State Government experience will be highly regarded.
