Project Architect

AJ+C are looking for a number of experienced Project Architects to lead various project typologies from inception through to completion.

AJ+C is a leading multi disciplinary Australian architectural firm offering experience, integrity and innovation. They specialise in delivering award-winning buildings, urban design and interiors projects at various scales, from smaller detailed design projects to complex large scale masterplans. You will be working with a dynamic and energetic team of around 80 in the Chippendale office. With real prospects for internal career advancement and professional development the role will suit someone who is driven, motivated and ready to take on a challenge.

Your focus will be on delivering high quality end to end client management, production of work from DA through to construction and have an ability to understand design intent and carry this through the project. You will be under the direction of Senior Leader of the practice.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Contribute to the development of high-quality design solutions through analysis, communication and balancing of objectives.
  • Produces high-quality documentation through use of organisation knowledge and systems
  • Develop and implement project planning with staff.
  • Self-directed provision of construction services on projects of a moderate complexity and size.
  • Play an active role in mentoring and coaching team members
  • Drive client communications and negotiations as well as brief, budget and program monitoring.

You will need

  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience post-graduation (Registered architect)
  • Good communication skills including careful listening, effective presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to perform well in a collaborative, team environment
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential
  • A passionate advocate for design
  • Project delivery experience on education, aged care or multi unit projects
  • Solid knowledge of construction techniques and experience taking projects from initial inception to site
