Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Contract Officer to join one of our NSW State Government clients located in the Grafton area. Our client concentrates on delivering the key tasks of building and maintaining road infrastructure and delivering the day to day operations, compliance and safety services for our roads and waterways.

The Project Contract Officer is responsible for providing a high level of non technical, organisational, contract and project support to project teams to ensure effective delivery and contract coordination of projects.

The duties include:

  • Preparation and maintenance of contract documents.
  • Provide management reports on contract and projects.
  • Logistical support to project teams to ensure administrative functions for meetings, inspections and events.
  • Utilise procurement systems to support the branch administration.
  • Manage accounts and payments, monitor and audit equipment and manage bookings.
  • Provide a high level of administrative and clerical support as well as the timely management of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Maintain Contract Management Database (CM21) and provide system support.
  • Satisfying customer enquiries and deliver superior customer service.
  • Providing contract & administrative support to sustain project/program delivery.
  • Working with teams to develop and maintain documentation and management systems.

Applicants must have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of contracts including using database management systems.
  • Advanced MS Word and Excel and corporate financial systems skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and execute tasks with accuracy.
  • Ability to carry out administrative arrangements for meetings, functions & field trips.
  • Preparation and distribution of agendas, briefing notes and taking minutes.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively in multiple teams with good communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research information and prepare written reports.

This position is a long term 2 year assignment for the right person.
